When beginning a bathroom remodel it is wise to take stock of your electrical and wiring needs. Many times older bathrooms are not well equipped with outlets where they are most needed.
In addition to the outlets you should consider if you are updating the lighting, or possibly adding an efficient ventilating fan if your wiring is up to the task. While you already have the bathroom in a state of disarray you might as well address the wiring and electrical needs for your new bathroom.
