Decorating a small bathroom can be a real challenge. The best advice is to adhere to the less is more theory.
Good light can make a small bathroom seem roomier whether it is natural light or light from a window. Getting light into a bathroom is another challenge because of the privacy factor. One idea is rather than using a blind or curtain for a window covering, use an alternate method to let in light while providing much needed privacy.
Most home improvement centers stock film that can be added to a window that gives a stained glass effect. this allows light to come through while giving privacy. There are different designs, many of them light and airy.
Check out your local home improvement center and see if this could be a solution to admiting more light into your bathroom while still addressing the privacy issue.
This will have the added benefit of taking up less space in your bathroom. Everything that protrudes into the room, including a curtain, takes up both physical and visual space.
